Daultala

Content rules

Last updated 10 September 2026

Everything in the Daultala App is posted by the people of the town. These are the rules for what may go in, and they are part of the terms of use. Posting anything means you accept them.

What belongs here

Six sections, and a thing belongs in one of them or in none. Everything in it has to be real, in Daultala or the villages around it, and yours to post.

  • Food. Restaurants, fast food shops, bakeries and tea places. Say which of the two it is, tick the dishes you cook, and put in the hours you open and close.
  • Shops. Any shop, trade or service working in the town: kiryana, hardware, cloth, medical store, tailor, barber, mechanic, electrician, and the rest. Tick what you sell or do, and put in your hours.
  • Education. Schools, colleges, academies, madrasas and home tuition. Say which one you are, and the timings you teach.
  • Property. Houses, plots, shops and agricultural land that is really for sale. Say which kind, how many marla, and a price you will honour.
  • Bikes. Motorbikes and scooters that are really for sale. Say the make, the model, the year and the price.
  • Cars. Cars for sale, and rent a car. Say the make, the model, the year, the price, and whether it is a sale or a hire.

And whichever section it is:

  • Post your own contact number, the one that will be answered. Somebody else's number is never allowed.
  • Post the thing once. The same shop entered three times is three listings for people to wade through and two of them will go stale.
  • Take it down when it is finished: the bike is sold, the plot is gone, the shop has closed.

Child safety

We have no tolerance at all for child sexual abuse or exploitation. Any image, text or listing of that kind is removed immediately, the account is closed for good, and the matter is reported to the authorities in Pakistan and to any body Google requires us to notify.

The app has no private messaging, no chat and no user to user communication of any kind. It is not designed for or directed at children.

To report anything of this kind, message the number on the support page. Reports of this kind are looked at first, ahead of everything else.

What is not allowed

  • Anything unlawful: drugs, alcohol, weapons and ammunition, wildlife, stolen goods, forged documents, or anything else the law of Pakistan forbids.
  • Sexual content: pornography, escort or dating services, or sexual services of any kind.
  • Hate and harassment: anything attacking a person or a group for religion, sect, caste, ethnicity, gender or disability, and anything meant to shame or threaten a named person.
  • Somebody else's details: a number, a name, a photograph or an address that is not yours to post.
  • Scams and fakes: counterfeit goods, fake qualifications, money doubling, interest free loan traps, prize schemes, or a price you have no intention of honouring.
  • Medical and financial claims that promise a cure or guaranteed returns.
  • Junk: the same listing posted several times, listings for businesses that are not in or near the town, or text stuffed with words to game the search.
  • Violent or shocking images in a promotion banner.

Promotion banners

A banner is a picture you supply, and the same rules apply to it. On top of that it must be your own picture or one you have the right to use, it must be about your own business, and it must not imitate the app itself or claim to be an official notice.

If it is yours and somebody else posted it

A photograph you took, a logo you own, the name of your business, or your own shop listed by somebody who does not run it. Tell us and we will take it down while we look into it.

Send us four things:

  • What was posted, and where in the app it appears.
  • What it is of yours: the picture, the name, the number, the shop.
  • Enough to show it is yours. A receipt, a registration, the original picture, or the number itself answering.
  • How to reach you about it.

We tell the person who posted it what was removed and why, and they can answer. Somebody who does this more than once loses the account.

How this is enforced

Nothing waits for approval. A listing appears the moment you post it and a banner starts the moment the payment goes through. Making people wait a day to add a shop is how a town directory ends up empty.

What happens instead is this. When we find something that breaks these rules, or somebody reports it:

  1. We message you on WhatsApp, on the number on the listing, and say exactly what is wrong with it.
  2. You have 12 hours to put it right. Edit the listing or the banner yourself, or take it down. Message us back if you think we have it wrong.
  3. After 12 hours, we remove it. If it was a paid promotion, it stops there and the money is not refunded.

Some things do not get the 12 hours.Anything unlawful or dangerous comes down the moment we see it, with no warning and no refund, and the account goes with it: child sexual abuse or exploitation, weapons, drugs, threats against a person, a scam taking money off people, or somebody else's number posted to cause trouble.

A person reads every report and a person decides. Nothing here is done by a machine on its own.

Reporting something

If a listing breaks these rules, or the details in it are wrong, tell us:

  • Message us on WhatsApp at +92 317 9773791.
  • Send the name of the listing and, if you can, what is wrong with it.

We look at every report. Most are dealt with within two working days, and anything involving a child, a threat or an immediate danger is looked at the same day.

What we do about it

  • A listing or a banner that breaks the rules gets the message and the 12 hours above, and comes down if nothing changes.
  • Someone who keeps doing it loses the 12 hours, then the ability to post, then the account.
  • Anything unlawful comes down at once, the account is closed, and it is reported to the authorities.
  • A promotion taken down for breaking these rules is not refunded, and neither are the days left on it. See the terms.

If you think we removed something by mistake, message us and we will look again.
